Privacy Policy
Plain-English details on what this site collects, what it does not, and the choices you have.
Effective date: October 21, 2026
1. Who we are
ToolsOrbit ("we", "us") operates the website at https://toolsorbit.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used and the rights you have. If you have any questions, email toolsorbit.media@gmail.com.
2. What we collect, and what we do not
Tool inputs are never collected
Every tool on ToolsOrbit runs in your browser. The text, numbers, invoice details or other values you enter are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to us or stored by us. We have no way to see them.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, the following may be collected automatically:
- Analytics data such as the pages you view, the approximate region you are visiting from, your browser and device type, and how you arrived at the site. This is collected through Google Analytics using cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
- Advertising data used by Google AdSense and its partners to serve and measure ads, as described below.
- Server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, which may include your IP address, the time of the request and the page requested.
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and keep it no longer than needed for that purpose.
3. Advertising: Google AdSense and third-party vendors
We use Google AdSense to display advertising, which keeps the tools free. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google uses advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, which enable Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Other third-party ad vendors and networks may also use cookies to serve ads on this site. You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Advertising cookies are set by the vendors, not by us, and are governed by their privacy policies. We do not have access to the data in those cookies.
4. Analytics: Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are useful and how the site performs. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and sessions and collects data such as pages viewed, interactions with tools (for example "a result was copied"), device type and approximate location. IP addresses are truncated before storage. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Cookies and your consent
Cookies are small files placed on your device by a website. This site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and by advertising vendors as described above. We do not set cookies for our own tools.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before advertising or analytics cookies are used, through a consent message provided by a certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through the privacy options link shown on the site. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking new ones.
6. Local storage on your device
Some features store small amounts of data in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- Theme preference: whether you chose light or dark mode.
- Drafts: some tools, such as the invoice generator, save your current draft so it is still there when you come back. A "Clear" button in the tool removes it, and clearing your browser's site data does too.
7. How we use information
We use the limited information described above to:
- operate, secure and improve the site and its tools;
- understand which tools people use so we can build better ones;
- display and measure advertising that funds the site;
- reply to messages you send us.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for automated decision-making about you.
8. Sharing
We share information only with the service providers named in this policy (Google, for analytics and advertising, and our hosting provider), each acting under its own privacy terms, or where required by law.
9. Data retention
Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for the standard retention period of 14 months, after which it is deleted or aggregated. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
10. Children's privacy
ToolsOrbit is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland (GDPR and UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to processing, including processing for direct marketing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our legal bases are consent (for advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required) and legitimate interests (for site security and essential operation).
If you are a California resident (CCPA and CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. Advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out through the consent or privacy options link on the site, through Google's Ads Settings, or by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser.
To exercise any of these rights, email toolsorbit.media@gmail.com. Because tool inputs are never collected, most requests will concern analytics or email correspondence only.
12. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because your tool inputs never leave your browser, the most sensitive information you work with is never exposed to us or to transmission in the first place.
13. Links to other sites
Some pages link to external websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
15. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent to toolsorbit.media@gmail.com.
